Testimonials
“Freddie Draper - excellent teacher! Something that really stands out is his ability to adapt his teaching methods to each student's learning style, even within a group setting. His approach is really comprehensive, with a great balance of practice and theory, and he always makes time to make each lesson fun and talk about inspiring bass players. Totally learn bass with Freddie, he's awesome”.- Crystal (Beginner bassist)
'Freddie Draper is an absolutely amazing teacher! He taught me bass guitar for two terms and was wonderful. I had only picked up the bass on my own a few times before so I was a complete beginner - but don't let this deter you from learning an instrument! Freddie is patient and encouraging, but also instils in you the importance of practice in order to progress. Not only this but he also went above and beyond by asking us each week to study a bassist and bring our findings to the class. I learnt so much about people's personal technique and different styles of playing. If it wasn't for Freddie my bass would still be sitting in my room dusting away. He is a great teacher and I would recommend him to anybody!'- Jessica (2nd Year ICMP Degree student) |
I Freddie has an encyclopaedic knowledge of bass playing and music theory, which coupled with a passion for his instrument and care for his students makes an enjoyable and informative lesson. My sessions with him helped my confidence in playing with other musicians as he filled many gaps in my understanding.- Stephen (ICMP level 2 student)
"Freddie is what I consider a true professional musician: versatile and experienced player, passionate teacher and busy as hell! He was able to turn a pure guitarist into a proper bass guitar player (still a lot of work to do though). The lessons were interesting and we faced each topic step by step. He was always available for my questions and patient with my sightreading technique. Prepare yourself for some nerdy bass stuff and cool stories too!"- Nicoló (Professional guitarist) "I Loved the interaction between student/teacher, who always gives constructive criticism where appropriate, as well as remaining patient with students. All lessons are informative and I believe more playing helps me with my theory" - (ICMP Higher Diploma Student) |
